Measuring Control and
Equipment
Measuring equipment is maintained and controlled by
experienced Q.A. technicians in an environmentally controlled room. Gauge equipment and
standards are calibrated and certified at regular intervals per ISO 10012-1.
MEASURING EQUIPMENT CAPACITY and ACCURACY
Apollo II Series direct computer controlled co-ordinate
measurement system (CMM) complete with a measuring range of 48" x 40" x 30"
having a linear accuracy of .00024" in X axis, .00020" Y axis and .00016 Z axis.
Mitutoyo manually controlled P.C. connected C.M.M. with a
range of 28" x 24" x 18" having a linear accuracy of .00015" in X axis
and .0003/.0004" in Y and Z axis.
Part layout performed on a 3' x 5' precision granite
surface plate, .0001" accurate 24" cylinder square and transfer stand. Surface
texture & roughness measurement - 1 microinch to 1600 microinches.
Four available granite plates ranging from .0002/.0005
overall flatness.
A 14" contour projector enabling projection of
profiles using CAD/CAM produced overlay transparencies.
